The Line (2026) is an upcoming Serbian drama film set for release in 2026, directed and written by Dragan Elcic. The film tells the powerful story of doctor Miodrag Lazic, a heroic surgeon who risked everything to save lives at the “Zica” war hospital, and also portrays the mass exodus of 130,000 Sarajevo Serbs in a dramatic historical context. Filming began in August 2025 at the Kovilj Monastery and spans multiple locations across Serbia and Republika Srpska, with production planned in three phases through the winter of 2026.
